The IWRB traning programme aims to develop local institutional capacity to conserve and manage wetlands.
This programme brings together specialists to attend international training courses on wetland inventory, monitoring,
management and restoration. Traning manuals are being developed as part of the programme.
IWRB meets goal of promoting the conservation of wetlands
and wetland biodiversity through:
Wetland assessment and monitoring.
Monitoring weterbird populations.
Waterbird action plans.
Supporting international conventions.
Research Groups.
Training.
Disseminating information.
