The Biosphere Reserve. |
The region has some nature spots of fascinating beauty and charm. For example, the Astrakhan
Biosphere Reserve in the Volga Delta was founded in 1919 in order to preserve unique water and endemic plants.
Climate:
• The Climate of local places about almost three hundreds
warm sunny days in one year as well as possible approaches for rest.
Here there is all or nearly so everything for a while to reset from
itself a cargo of problems and to test pleasure of dissolution in
wildlife: green thickets full the bird's hubbub, the boundless clean
warm water, landscapes pleasing an eye. Here and only here a rare
combination of the burning sun, cool winds and freshening transparency
of air and water.
In
this reserved territory you can visit plantations of a lotus - the
fantastic flower covered with many Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese legends.
When the lotus blossoms, it changes cooler of coloring from brightly
pink up to light and almost white. Speak, it depends on intensity of
solar beams, clouds and even a wind. A beautiful, gentle and large
flower above a water smooth surface. It's leaves in diameter reach 80
centimeters.
The Volga River:
• The Volga River delta is a Russian legend of long
standing. Russian of many generations talk to each other about the area
attractions - tents on the Volga banks, fishing, hunting, canoe trips
along numerous streams, vast "wild" beaches. One can say that in Russia
a resort in the Volga River delta does not need too much promotion.
Floating
hotels, simple hunting lodges, shelters for fishermen, launches trips
on the Volga River, boats and canoes, civilizing beaches - that is all
that is needed for welcoming guests. The lower reaches of the Volga
River and Caspian Sea North is an area unique for its history and
natural and climates. Waves of various civilizations mixed there,
nomads traveled there, cities were born and died, life was ever active.
The term "national
reserve" is an internationally recognized concept. All over the world
valuable areas and ecosystems are preserved, protected and developed by
designating them as national parks and reverves. National reserves
receive special attention from the realization of a number of
objectives viz. nature preservation and development, education and
information, natureoriented recreation and scientific reseach in view
of their internal coherence. in this respect they serve as an example.
The government's attention is expressed, among other things, in
additional financical support for an optimal reserver managtmtnt, in
developing ecological values and in enabling reserch in order to find
solutions to enviroment threats, such as drying out and pollution from
outside. There are also possibilites for experimental ways of
management. In a so-called "educational network", it is specified how a
reserve may serve as an educational example by means of a coherent
system of activites. With respect to nature-oriented recreatio it is
important to seek a balance between the interests of the visitor and
the interests of nature. The presence of too many visitors (at the same
time) or behaviour which is damaging to nature may result in a harmful
use of these areas and disturb the animals. Through "zoning", such as
the plotting of walking routes, and by organizing trips, public
attention may be directed at certain parts at the exclusion of other
more vulnerable areas. In this manner reserver management attempts to
guide the visitors in order to keep negative effects in order to keep
negative effects at a minimum. By providing information to visitors on
the effect of certain types of behaviour and by developing educational
activities reserver management hopes to enhance people's understanding
of their role in nature.
