Conclusion. |
|
On
the acute problems causing concern the environmental protection is
beginning to assume paramount importance. In resent years people have
become more sensitive towards dangers of man's activities. People's
main goal is to combine their efforts for the huge and ever mounting
movement for nature conservation. As four as Astrakhan movement region
is concerned there are still threats and tourism is one of them. There
are no ready-made solutions available, so issues must be regarded as
long-term problems. Nonetheless, the Biosphere Preserve status offers
good opportunities to find solutions.
Tourism broadens the mind. But it should be ecologically acceptable. So various requirements of rest and recreation:
Restoration of numerous memorials of history, culture,
architecture (just the registered monuments number 645), organizing
relevant sight-seeing routes;
Construction of a tourist hotel in the city of
Astrakhan, of small floating hotels, recreation camps, hunting and
fishing lodges, beaches;
Modernization of the Astrakhan airport, turning it into an international one;
Establishment of helicopter
landing areas, jetties for fast boats linking recreation, hunting and
fishing sites with Astrakhan;
Construction of roads
and special railways geared for tourists, linking the Volga wharfs with
attractive tourist sites (such as the Baskunchhak salt lake, the Bogdo
mountain);
Revival of
mind-healing with using medicinal moods of the Tinaki lake (the Tinaki
mud-treatment resort operating now can be used), construction of
koumiss cure facilities including those for children;
In our project
we have touched upon the problem of tourism, the problem of pollution
of Biosphere Preserve. We have concentrated our research work mainly on
nature conservation. It is quite natural that conservation of nature
and protection of the biosphere has from the beginning been an
international concern. Our planet is large yet small, and we all must
help it stay healthy. Particular attention in our work is focused on
the environment.
We hope that our project will be useful at the English lessons to
acquaint students to one of the burning ecological problems nowadays.
